§ 15.04.150. Exempt buildings and structures.
A.
The city building code shall not apply to any building or structures situated in an area zoned for agricultural use when intended and used to shelter livestock, poultry, farm implements, farm supplies or harvested crops. An exempt building or structure shall not be designed, constructed, intended or used for human occupancy or work situation nor shall it be attached to a dwelling. Building structures so exempt shall not be used for any other purpose unless qualified for a change of occupancy as prescribed in the building code.
B.
An application for a permit to construct an agriculturally exempt building shall be filed with the building inspector for verification and certification of use which shall be subject to fees established for such purpose. Plot plans indicating size of buildings and location on property are required on application.
C.
Location on property shall be in compliance with the building code and shall be subject to the requirements of the city zoning ordinance.
D.
Before the building of a structure is commenced, a preliminary inspection shall be made to verify compliance with setback requirements. Inspection shall also be made to verify use of the building or structure.
